The Kiwanis Club of Somerville is a community service organization focusing on direct community engagement. We get out into our community and meet with people both young and old to add support, encouragement, and delight into their lives. We give back to our community because we know that there are kids and adults who need help and that we have the ability to make a difference in their lives. We also give back because it is a lot of fun!
Here is a partial list of programs our club provides. We are always looking for new program ideas from members… do you see an unmet need of Somerville children?
If you think you would be interested in joining us in having a great time while making a difference in the lives of hundreds and thousands of our community’s children… contact us.
Have you been looking to do some volunteering for good causes in your community? Do you like helping kids, having fun and feeling like you made a difference? Why not consider joining us and become a member of our Kiwanis club?
Also, feel free to come to one of our weekly meetings or events. Check out our calendar on this page.
Our club meets most Thursdays at Mount Vernon Restaurant, 14 Broadway, Somerville at 12:15pm. Mount Vernon is a short walk from the Sullivan Station Orange Line and there is parking behind the restaurant.

GUEST SPEAKER MAYOR Robert Van Campen 2026-2029
I am honored to welcome you to the City of Everett!
Whether you live here, are visiting for the first time, or are part of our business community, I invite you to explore all that Everett has to offer, from city services and local amenities to the many opportunities that make our community thrive.
Everett is at a pivotal moment. As our city continues to grow and evolve, we face both a profound responsibility and a historic opportunity to move forward with integrity, fairness and accountability. Our history runs deep, and our potential is wide open. We may be small on the map, but we are mighty.
This next chapter of Everett will be written within the walls of our houses of worship, through the work of community organizations and volunteers, in our parks and playgrounds, at kitchen tables, and along neighborhood streets. It will be shaped by longtime residents, newcomers, seniors, veterans, and families building their lives here.
Everyone belongs in Everett. Everyone matters. Together, we are building a city that reflects the richness of our diversity and the strength of our shared commitment to one another. Now, it’s time to get to work.
– Mayor Robert Van Campen
