Working with the Community Action Agency of Somerville (CAAS), our Club ensures that hundreds of young children (3-5 years old) in the Somerville Head Start program receives a great gift for the holidays.
In 2023, our club purchased, wrapped, and delivered quality fun presents for over 175 children the week before Christmas.
This program has changed over time from in person pizza dinner with Santa to now delivering all the presents to the schools.
Nearly 100% of our members buy the presents themselves to donate or ask another member to help them with the shopping. We encourage friends, neighbors, and family to join in the giving spirit.
We have a core committee to guide the effort, and all members are invited to the wrapping party and the big delivery day!

Head Start is a federal comprehensive educational, health, and social services program for preschool children ages 3 through 5.
Let's plan to meet at 1:45pm at the school to get the party started. I hope that we will have many hands to make light work. I will need someone to come to my home and help me to load the truck with backpacks and supplies that I have stored.
Our goal is 156 backpacks total. These packs will be shared between Prospect Hill Academy and Mystic Tenants Authority (I have checked and double-checked, Somerville High School does not need additional packs this year).
